Who are we?
We are five students from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. This project is the result of work done in autumn 2015 in a Master level course held by Professor Ole Møystad, Adjunct Associate Professor Lisbet Sauarlia, Teaching Assistant Tarjei Zakarias Ekelund, Teaching Assistant Thea H. Andreassen, Teaching Assistant Jostein Breines, Teaching Assistant Mads Nermo and PhD Research Fellow Dong Ming Xu. We would like to thank them for helping us through the process of gathering information during our time in Xi'an, teaching us the multimedia tools needed to present the project and for guiding us through the analysis and project. We would also like to thank Professor Yngve Frøyen at the Department of Urban Design and Planning at NTNU. Su Jing, Professor Chang and the Chinese students Meng Sa, Zhu Di, Liu Ze Hua and Yang Yang at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XUAT). We were three groups working on the same topic of "Urban Triggers" this semester. We explored different sides of the urban village and altogether, they paint a fine picture of the development potential of Hou Wei Zhai. Be sure to check them out!
